RFID Printers

Below are brief instructions on setting up the printer. For more in-depth details, refer to the Zebra printer support links below, which include how-to videos on loading the labels and ribbon, as well as print and RFID calibration.

Setting up your RFID printer

Follow these steps to setup your RFID printer. First, download Zebra Setup Utilities.

Install by USB

  • Plug the printer in and connect the USB cable to your machine
  • Open Zebra setup utilites - the printer should automatically install

Setting up as a network printer

Setting up a text printer

  • To use a printer with RFID Asset, you need to setup a printer with the Generic Text Only drivers
  • Instructions on setting up a Zebra text printer are available here

Loading media

  1. Load the roll of labels
  2. Load the ribbon
  3. For on-metal labels, make sure the media sensor (green light) is lined up with the liner between labels
  4. Complete print auto calibration
  5. Complete RFID calibration
  6. Roll labels back
